What is this medicine
Allegra-D is an antihistamine and decongestant combination used to relieve congestion, sneezing, and watery eyes due to colds, flu, or hay fever. Allegra-D works against the naturally occurring chemic
al histamine in the body. Fexofenadine prevents sneezing; runny nose; itching, watery eyes; and other allergic symptoms. ?Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant. It constricts (shrinks) blood vessels (vein
s and arteries). By decreasing blood flow, it decreases congestion. Allegra ( Fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine ) is used to relieve symptoms of allergic conditions.

Special warnings about this medication
Pregnancy¡XIn animal studies, Allegra-D did not cause birth defects but did cause a decrease in weight of the infant. Discuss with your doctor whether or not you should continue to use Allegra-D if yo
become pregnant.
Breast-feeding¡XIt is not known whether fexofenadine passes into breast milk. Although most medicines pass into breast milk in small amounts, many of them may be used safely
while breast-feeding. Mothers who are taking Allegra-D and who wish to breast-feed should discuss this with their doctor.
